Police, meanwhile, arrested three miscreants who were caught pelting stones at Pahamrioh and Shangbangla, Nongpoh. The arrested persons have been identified as Gobarson Suting (30), Thomson Lyngdoh (25) and Shanbor Lyngdoh (32).

Ri bhoi SP CVS Reddy informed that police also detained nine suspects for interrogation. According to Reddy, most of the miscreants were school dropouts.

“With the additional forces, we are confident of dealing with the situation,” he said.
