Intensified Indradhanush Immunisation 5.0 launched at Jowai

Jowai, Aug 7: Additional Deputy Commissioners HML Kynta, today launched Intensified Indradhanush Immunisation 5.0 at 100-bed MCH Hospital, Panaliar, Jowai. The programme was chaired by Dr. (Mrs) M Syngkon, District Surveillance Officer.

Speaking as the chief guest HMK Kynta reminded that the Immunisation campaign will be conducted in three rounds for six days each at all health centres for free of cost, she encouraged the parents and pregnant mothers to avail this opportunity and get vaccinated during the IMI campaign at their nearest health centers.

Dr. E Suchiang, Paediatrician, Jowai emphasised the importance of immunisation in protecting children from infectious diseases. He encourages the Parents and mothers to seize the opportunity to safeguard their children’s health and wellbeing.

Dr Helen Uriah, District MCH Officer, Jowai emphasized the significance of the immunisation card, urging the parents to carry it whenever they visit for immunisation for easy monitoring of an individual’s immunization, and helping parents stay on schedule with their child’s immunisation.
