Criminals loot Rs 3L

Mawkyrwat, Aug 11: Unknown miscreants forcefully broke into the office of the principal of Mawthawpdah Presbyterian Higher Secondary School located at Mawthawpdah, 20 KMs from Mawkyrwat falling under South West Khasi Hills District. According to the FIR filed on Friday by the principal of Mawthawpdah Presbyterian Higher Secondary School Wantimon Mawa, the incident was discovered on August 10, 2023 at around 11:30 AM after she came back to join the school after a few days’ leave.
According to the FIR, it was found out that some unknown miscreants had cut open the main lock of the principal’s room and from the locker of the almirah inside the room, the miscreants stole Rs.3 lakhs in cash.
After receiving the FIR, the police have registered a case into the incident and now the investigation is on, the sources informed.
