Shillong, August 13: WhatsApp, owned by Meta, has rolled out a bug-fix update to resolve an issue concerning the app’s widget on Android beta.

Users of WhatsApp beta for Android reported problems with the widget not loading and failing to display incoming messages.

The bug prevented users from conveniently checking new messages without opening the app.

Restarting the app did not rectify the widget problem.

The WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.17.13 version has been confirmed as a bug-fix update to resolve this issue, allowing users to use the widget without encountering the bug.

Earlier this month, WhatsApp also released a bug-fix update to improve call quality on Android beta.

This update was automatically installed for many users due to Google Play Store settings.

In a previous update, WhatsApp tackled a chat sorting issue on Android beta, ensuring that new messages appeared at the top of the conversation list.

The platform has experienced other issues, including global outages and connectivity problems, affecting users around the world.

In June, a worldwide outage lasting two hours affected the Meta-owned messaging platform.
