Shillong, August 16: Kay Kay Menon, celebrated for his remarkable acting prowess and notable roles, has expressed his concern about the dearth of quality cinema on the big screen. He attributes the rise of OTT platforms to the increased accessibility of good content for audiences. The veteran actor, who has enthralled viewers for decades, is now set to grace the film ‘Love All,’ which introduces the sport of Badminton to the silver screen for the first time.
As per IANS, Menon stated, “Our film is a treat for cinema enthusiasts. There’s a scarcity of compelling cinema in theaters. Thanks to numerous OTT channels, audiences can now enjoy quality content. ‘Love All’ pioneers the depiction of Badminton as a sport in a film. Badminton takes center stage in our narrative. The film is not only a must-see for children but also offers valuable lessons for adults.”
Reflecting on the significance of sports in children’s lives, Menon emphasized the need for open spaces and outdoor activities. He expressed concern about children’s increasing attachment to electronic devices and applauded the government’s decision to mandate sports education in schools. Menon believes that sports instill valuable life skills, teaching individuals how to navigate both victories and defeats.
Drawing from personal experience, Menon shared his commitment to sports, asserting his intention to continue playing throughout his life. ‘Love All,’ directed by Sudhanshu Sharma, is a sports drama that underscores the importance of sports in children’s development. The film features an ensemble cast including Kay Kay Menon, Swastika Mukherjee, Shriswara, and Robin Das.
