Shillong, August 20: Renowned actor Rajinikanth met Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav in Lucknow on Sunday.
The actor visited Akhilesh at his residence, and the latter subsequently shared images from their encounter.
As per IANS, while talking to reporters, Rajinikanth recounted their long-standing association, stating, “I first met Akhilesh Yadav nine years ago at an event in Mumbai, and we have been friends since then. We maintain communication over the phone. Five years ago, I came to this place for filming purposes but couldn’t meet him. Now that he’s here, we finally had a chance to meet.”
The day before, Rajinikanth had a meeting with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. When asked about the meeting, he expressed, “It was truly wonderful; I felt positive about it.”
