Shillong, August 20: Tech giant Samsung is said to be actively working on multiple projects, including the development of a groundbreaking 440MP camera sensor, according to insights shared by tipster @Tech_Reve.

As per IANS, this new sensor is part of a trio that includes the 50MP ISOCELL GN6, and the 200MP ISOCELL HP7. The forthcoming ISOCELL GN6 camera sensor boasts an expansive 1.6-micrometer pixel size, representing an enhancement over previous ISOCELL GN series sensors. This increase in size is particularly notable compared to the ISOCELL GN5’s 1-micrometer pixel size.

Rumors indicate that the anticipated 440MP ISOCELL HU1 camera sensor will outsize the 1-inch ISOCELL GN6. Samsung had previously expressed aspirations to produce camera sensors with resolutions reaching up to 600MP, marking a significant leap in imaging capabilities.

In a separate development, T.M. Roh, President and head of MX Business at Samsung Electronics, recently mentioned the company’s preparations to introduce a foldable tablet. Roh articulated that foldable technology would extend beyond smartphones into other domains like tablets and PCs, enhancing the user experience. He explained that the concept of foldables aligns with the historical inclination to read books or use notebooks, making it a natural progression for the tech industry.
