Student injured in accident

SHILLONG, Aug 24: A Class 11 student of St. Edmund’s School sustained injuries when he was hit by a speeding two-wheeler while trying to cross the road near Don Bosco Technical School, Laitumkhrah, at around 11 am on Thursday.
The victim, the biker and the pillion rider were shifted to Woodland Hospital in a local cab.
The student suffered a fracture on his right leg and injury on the head.
“His family has now shifted him to GNRC Guwahati where his condition is said to be stable. A case has been registered and the biker and the pillion rider have been detained,” police said.
