Shillong, August 25: The district administration of Kota, Rajasthan, held a meeting involving coaching institute directors to address the increasing suicides among students.

As per IANS, as a result, a unique initiative named KOCA (Kota Carnival) will be conducted to ease the mental strain on students. This program will feature two events on September 6 and 23, inviting singers and organizing diverse cultural activities.

The intention is to create an atmosphere akin to a fair, offering students an opportunity to relax and enjoy. With participation expected from over 40,000 students, this endeavor aims to counter the recent wave of negative incidents.

According to Collector O.P. Bunkar, the alarming surge in suicides prompted the decision to establish a cultural activity. The existing KOCA committee has previously organized events, and this festival will feature Punjabi and Bhojpuri artists.

The primary goal is to convey to students that facing problems with a positive mindset is far more effective than succumbing to stress. The day-long events will provide a break from studies, fostering relaxation and a shift away from negativity. Bunkar believes such initiatives will yield favorable outcomes.
