SHILLONG: The Shillong Police has imposed traffic restrictions at various areas of the city. The junction of long round road with GS road near Thangkhiew Petrol Pump Mawlai behind Modrina’s Building, an area has been earmarked on the way to Mawlai Nonglum for embarkation and disembarkation of light motor vehicle. LMVs are to embark/disembark in the specific area.
From this junction, and extending upto Church of Christ, Mawlai Nonglum Khliehshnong Block I, both side of the road is declared as No parking zone except for a few spaces earmarked for demarcation/ parking for LMVs.
Parking one side of road will be allowed only along the stretch opposite Church of Christ (left side up to Mawlai Nonglum Rait Madi), right side has been declared as No parking zone. The restrictions will be imposed from September 21.
