Theft

One Marphalangki Shullai lodged a complaint at Mawlai PS that on September 12 night, members of KSU and FKJGP stole the sound system valued around Rupees Forty thousand, from his vehicle (AS-01H-1458), which was parked near NEHU Guest House at Mawlai, Shillong. They wrote graffiti on the vehicle which read as “No ILP, No Rest” and also deflated the tyres of the vehicle.

Arson

  • On September 14 at about 4:30 am, unknown miscreants set fire to the office of the Nehru Yuva Kendra at Nongstoin (WKH). As a result, two windows were partially damaged, while a table, chair, steel almirah and files were gutted.
  • On September 13 around 11:45 pm, unknown miscreants set fire to the Store Room of PWD office at Khliehriat (EJH). As a result, the Store Room was partially damaged.
  • On September 13 around 12 midnight, unknown miscreants attempted to set fire to the office of BDO, Khliehriat (EJH).

Assault

On September 13 at about 4 pm, three persons, viz., Emareld Sumer (30), Rickshon Sumer (30) and Oni Sumer (45) assaulted one minor boy Klever Lynsing (15) at Umran village (Ri Bhoi). As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was shifted to CH, Nongpoh. Police arrested the accused persons.

Injury

On September 13, Rabina Sangma (32) sustained burn injuries due to bursting of a cooking stove in her house at Nongmynsong, Shillong. She was admitted at NEIGRIHMS, Mawdiangdiang.

Rape

On September 12 around 11.30 am, one Iengskhem Pariong raped a minor girl (14 yrs) at Khyrin village (WKH).
