Vicky Kaushal ventures into family entertainment with ‘The Great Indian Family’

Shillong, September 5: Renowned Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal is embarking on his first family entertainer, ‘The Great Indian Family’ (TGIF), after a decade-long career in the industry.

As per IANS, expressing his excitement, Vicky shared, “I consider myself lucky to have discovered a movie in my favorite genre after all these years. It takes me back to the cherished memories of my childhood. I fondly remember our family outings to the cinema to enjoy films that brought us all together. Those moments were truly special and unforgettable.”

He continued, “When I decided to pursue acting, my hope was to be part of a film that families could relish together, just like I did. I wanted to recreate that experience. I’m immensely proud to be a part of TGIF, a family entertainer that will convey a beautiful message to audiences.”

Vicky aspires for the film to touch people’s hearts with its profound message. “I hope TGIF resonates with viewers on both emotional and entertainment levels. I eagerly anticipate sharing our film with the audience on September 22,” he added.

Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, ‘The Great Indian Family’ is a family comedy set in rural India. It centers around the chaos that unfolds within Vicky’s family due to unforeseen developments beyond anyone’s control.

The film boasts an ensemble cast, including Vicky Kaushal, Manushi Chhillar, Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra, Sadiya Siddiqui, Alka Amin, Srishti Dixit, Bhuvan Arora, Ashutosh Ujjwal, and Bharti Perwani.

Audiences can anticipate the release of this heartwarming family film on September 22.

On the horizon, Vicky Kaushal will also grace the screen in Meghna Gulzar’s ‘Sam Bahadur,’ a biographical account of Sam Manekshaw, the first Indian Army officer to attain the rank of Field Marshal. The film, featuring Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Sheikh, delves into the life of this distinguished figure during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971.
