NONGPOH, Sep 6: An unknown male dead body was found lying on the divider of Guwahati-Shillong Road at 12th Mile on Sunday, the Ri-Bhoi Superintendent of Police said in a press release.
According to the SP, the deceased was around 38 years with a height of 5.2 feet, lean and thin build, black hair, swarthy complexion and wearing a blue shirt, violet vest, grey quarter pant with a black belt.
The body had no injury marks and none could identify the said deceased, the police said.
The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Nongpoh for post-mortem examination to ascertain the cause of death. It was then kept at the morgue room of the said hospital.
