Shillong, September 7: US President Joe Biden is scheduled to participate in the G20 Leaders’ Summit in Delhi, with his visit set for Thursday (today).

As per India Today, during his stay in the Indian capital, Biden will travel in ‘The Beast,’ the US Presidential Cadillac, which will be transported to India from the US aboard a Boeing C-17 Globemaster III.

Stringent security measures have been put in place for Biden’s visit to Delhi. The security arrangements consist of a three-layer system, with the outermost layer comprising paramilitary force personnel, the second layer involving commandos from India’s Special Protection Group, and the innermost circle manned by Secret Service agents.

Biden and the US delegation will be accommodated at the ITC Maurya Sheraton hotel, where staff will undergo background checks, and special access cards will be issued to those needing to access the 14th floor, where President Biden will stay. A dedicated lift will be installed for access to this floor, and approximately 400 rooms at the hotel have been reserved to accommodate the delegation.

‘The Beast’ is the official state car of the US President and will be utilized during Biden’s attendance at the G20 Summit. This heavily armored vehicle, renowned for its strength and security features, will be under the constant protection of the United States Secret Service throughout the visit.
