UDP Youth Wing raises awareness against drug menace on Foundation Day

Shillong, Sept 11: As part the celebration of its 26th foundation day, the UDP State Youth Wing on Monday held an awareness talk on youth and drug menace at its office here.

Manbha Foundation director, Anthony Syiemiong while speaking as the resource person during the programme said that there are large numbers in the State who are dependent on drugs thereby affecting their future.

He also stressed the importance that youth who are totally dependent on drugs are treated with empathy and taken care of so that they can integrate back into society as responsible and productive citizens.

Others present on the occasion included State youth wing president and Cabinet Minister, Kyrmen Shylla, party working president, Titosstarwell Chyne, party vice president, Allantry Dkhar among others.
