SHILLONG: The Rs 10-crore mansion of Chief Minister Dr. Mukul Sangma did not have any press room as the newsmen had to wait at the entrance during the meeting of the MUA-II Government on Wednesday night.

While many contractors, among others, had free access, press vehicles were also not allowed to enter inside.

Moreover, the newspersons’ movement was restricted and they were asked not to proceed beyond the sentry post by Steve Rynjah, Additional SP and the Security Officer to the Chief Minister.

After the meeting of the MUA, the Chief Minister and others came out to brief the press, but here too, there were no seating arrangements.
