SHILLONG, Sep 18: The Shillong Municipal Board has offered noted city businessman Viwat Vaswani the role of ‘Brand Ambassador’ of a cleanliness campaign to be organsied by the board.
As part of Swachhata League 2.0 and Swachhata Hi Seva, the Shillong Municipal Board will organise a campaign for garbage-free India with the participation of young people under the theme of ‘Youth Vs Garbage’.
It has urged Vaswani to take up the role so as to actively to motivate the youths to endeavour for a garbage-free city.
It may be mentioned that Vaswani has been part of several cleanliness initiatives in the city.
