SHILLONG: The Seng Samla Malki has condemned the recent attack on an ambulance by unknown miscreants recently and the assault of one police constable, B Lyngdoh (52), a resident of Malki, by the driver and conductor of an SPTS bus on Sunday afternoon.

“The pelting of stones at our ambulance is nothing but a ploy by miscreants seeking to take advantage of the current situation,” president of Seng Samla Malki, K Warlarpih, said, adding that the miscreants should have identified the ambulance from its blue beacon light.

“The Seng Samla cannot digest the fact that a mistake was made by the agitators while throwing stones assuming it to be a government vehicle with a red beacon. These are the plans of opportunists who tried to make full use of the fluid situation. Had the stones hit the patients then who would have taken the responsibility?” he questioned.

The Seng Samla Malki was joined by the Seng Samla Dong Lumbalang Malki in condemning the attack on Bigstar Lyndoh on Sunday afternoon by the conductor and driver of an SPTS bus (ML 01 6702), stating that the matter could have been solved through dialogue and not through such acts.
