Shillong, October 10: Jammu and Kashmir revenue authorities, under police protection, demolished illegal structures on government land (Dar-ul-uloom) in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, based on NIA recommendations, officials report.

As per IANS, during a joint operation by the Police and Army on the night of March 11/12, 2022, at Darul Uloom in Chewa Kalan, Pulwama, a local terrorist named Aquib Mushtaq from Kareemabad and a foreign terrorist were killed.

Subsequently, NIA took over the investigation of case FIR No 50/2022 and arrested the administrators of the Dar-ul-uloom, Naseer Molvi from ChewaKalan, and his associate Imtiyaz, who remain in custody.

It was revealed that the Dar-ul-uloom, consisting of three single-story rooms, had been constructed on government land and had become redundant since the encounter.

As a result, acting on NIA’s recommendations, revenue authorities, with police protection, carried out the demolition of these illegal structures on government land.
