Govt school in Jowai sans teachers for 6 months

Jowai, Oct 10: After receiving several complaints from students and parents about the non-availability of two teachers in the Science stream of Biology and Environment for a period of six months, the JSU, Jowai circle met with the vice principal of Government Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Jowai to take stock of the situation.
However, the vice principal has clarified that even after several written intimations were sent to the Director of School Education and Literacy on the matter, the college has not receive any concrete response from the higher authority till now.
The union has expressed its disappointment over the issue concerning students’ welfare besides their respective examinations approaching. Assessing the imminent problems faced by the students the union restated and urged concern authority to appoint teachers on the said vacancy at the earliest failing of which serious and stern steps will be resorted in the near future, JSU president Jowai circle, Borntifulness Rupon said.
