New Delhi, Oct 13: BJP national president J P Nadda has advised new state party president Rikman Momin to strengthen the party from the grass root level.
The newly elected state BJP president is in Delhi to meet senior party leaders.
Rikman had a meeting with Nadda, and Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Friday. He will call on other party leaders including those from northeast on Saturday before leaving for Shillong.
He is accompanied by national BJP vice president and Meghalaya incharge M Chuba Ao. The meeting with Nadaji was ‘productive’ and that of the union minister ‘introductory’, Ao posted.
Momin had already made it clear that he wants to work together with all to strengthen the party. ‘I will work together with all including the outgoing president to strengthen the party’, he had told the media earlier. ‘The Lok Sabha elections are round the corner and after getting direction from the Centre, the party will start working’, he added.
