Nonglang SC marks 50th anniversary with football

Nonglang, Oct 21: In a jubilant celebration of their 50th anniversary, the Nonglang Sports Club hosted a thrilling football tournament at the Jubili Ksiar Ground, located in Pyndenïew Lyngdoh, Nonglang.
The landmark event brought together a host of dignitaries, including Bah Y. G Lyngdoh, Working President of the MDSA, and Firsterlin Kharraswai, the community leader of Nonglang. Also in attendance were Francis Donbok Kharlyngdoh, President of the Seng Samla Shnong Nonglang, and Kordorlin Kharlyngdoh, Secretary of Nonglang SC, as well as representatives from various village development programs (VDP) and local schools.
The festivities of the 50th-anniversary celebration included a football inter-district tournament held at the Nongdom Ground, where the Nonglang Sports Club showcased their prowess by defeating Pynden Jathang with a convincing 2-0 victory. Kordorlin Kharlyng-dong, the Secretary of Nonglang SC, emphasized the club’s commitment to promoting various sports. .
The event was made even more special with the participation of students from local schools, including Bethel Secondary School and Nonglang Secondary School, making it a memorable and inclusive celebration of sports and community spirit.
