Shillong, October 25: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan emphasized that Turkey will not accept the displacement of Palestinians from their homes in Gaza.

As per IANS, during a joint press conference in Doha, Qatar, attended by Qatari Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, Fidan stated, “Our region is at a crucial turning point. We are either headed towards a major war or a great peace. We will not accept the displacement of Palestinians from their homes in Gaza.”

Fidan further condemned the targeting of Palestinians, including children, the sick, and the elderly, even in places like schools, hospitals, and mosques, describing it as a crime against humanity. He also criticized those who support Israel’s actions under the pretense of solidarity, asserting that they are accomplices to Israel’s crimes. Fidan warned that an Israeli ground operation in Gaza could escalate the conflict into a massacre.

Qatari Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani joined Fidan in condemning the policy of collective punishment against the Palestinian people and stressed the necessity of delivering aid to Gaza.

On the other hand, Israel’s National Security Adviser Tzahi Hanegbi welcomed Qatari efforts to bring peace to the region, emphasizing the significance of Qatar’s diplomatic efforts in facilitating humanitarian solutions.
