SHILLONG: Shillong Lajong FC will host Goan side Sporting Clube de Goa in a third round I-League match on Saturday at the JN Stadium, Polo, at 3:30pm.

Lajong have made a good start to the 2013-14 campaign, winning the first match against Dempo SC in Goa 3-0 and playing out a goalless draw against a strong Pune FC side at home. The Reds, however, will seek to claim their first victory over Sporting, having never beaten the Goan outfit in any of their previous encounters.

Sporting Clube, led by Oscar Bruzon, on the other hand, are seeking their first win of the season, having drawn one and losing their last match against United SC.

Oscar has made it known that he will be ringing in the changes in the Sporting line-up for Saturday and is confident that his team will stand up to Lajong’s challenge.

This will be the third home game for Shillong-based teams in the League this season and the fans will be hoping to see the first win by a home team at the JN Stadium.
