Tribal Pride week from Nov 15

SHILLONG, Nov 13: Jan Jatiya Gaurav Divas (Tribal Pride) and Hamara Sankalp Viksit Bharat Yatra week will be celebrated in Meghalaya with effect from November 15 to 26.
According to the statement here, on November 15, the Chief Secretary will flag off the cultural procession on tribal pride from the state Assembly premises at Khyndai Lad at 10 a.m and will be followed by the official function at U Soso Tham Auditorium from 11:30 am where Minister of Arts & Culture, Paul Lyngdoh will grace the programme as the chief guest while CEM, KHADC, Pyniaid Syiem will be the guest of honour.
Sankerdev College in collaboration with the Department of Arts and Culture will be presenting ‘A Synthesis of Rhythm and Art Revisiting and Promoting the Cultural Heritage of Meghalaya’ at U Soso Tham Auditorium on November 16. On the 24 and 25 of November, TRI Hill Ensemble II Programme along with the Inter-Department Exhibition (Hamara Sankalp Viksit Bharat Yatra) will be held at the State Central Library Complex and U Soso Tham Auditorium. The programme will be graced by Chief Minister Conrad Sangma as the chief guest and Minister of Arts and Culture as guest of honour.
