Elnathan scores hat-trick in Mawtawar win

By Our Reporter Shillong, Nov 15: Elnathan Wahlang had a smashing start to the Shillong Sports Association’s Second Division 2023 with a hat-trick in Mawtawar SC’s first match as they beat Marbisu SC 3-1 in Group A at Third Ground, Polo, here on Wednesday. The other game ended 1-1 between Smit SC and Nongrah SC in Group B. Wahlang scored in the seventh, 64th and 75th minutes, while Marbisu’s goal came via Paul Nongdhar in the 62nd. Earlier, Dawandappura Pathaw put Nongrah in front in the eighth minute before Bansynran Mylliemngap pulled Smit level in the 30th.
