NOIDA, Nov 27: Nine people, including two LLB and two MBA students, have been arrested for their alleged involvement in the supply of drugs to college-goers and others here, police said. The drugs were reportedly procured from Shillong.
The police have seized a variety of Indian and foreign-origin drugs like marijuana, cocaine, hashish, MDMA, estimated to be worth around Rs 30 lakh in the black market, and claim international links in the racket.
“It’s an ongoing crackdown against narcotics in which arrests and seizures have been made in Greater Noida in the past. Now as part of the same campaign, nine people have been arrested by the Sector 126 police station officials,” the DCP of Noida said.
“These accused, especially the four students, were supplying the drugs in educational institutions and PGs. They procured high-quality marijuana from Shillong,” said the DCP. (PTI)
