HSPDP to support Rev Basaiawmoit

SHILLONG: The HSPDP has decided not to field candidate from Shillong in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

Informing this, HSPDP vice-president Ardent Miller Basaiawmoit said the decision to this effect was taken at the meeting of the party’s Central Executive Committee (CEC) held recently.

“We would be supporting Rev PBM Basaiawmoit who will be the official nominee of People’s Candidate Forum (PCM),” Basaiawmoit said.

He also urged that the other regional parties like UDP, KHNAM to extend support to Rev Basaiawmoit.
