Shillong, Dec 11: The Meghalaya Sport Climbing & Mountaineering Association (MeSCMA) climbers bagged a total 3 medals in the recently concluded North East Zonal Sport Climbing Championship 2023 at IHCAE, Chemchey, Sikkim. The event was held from December 8-10, 2023
The participants who took part in the competition and their ranking are as follows
WOMEN Open Category:
Valarie Suchiang – Silver in Lead Climbing
MEN Open Category :
Ricky Rani (12th) and Balawan Habor Rynjah (14th)
Sub Junior Girls :-
Dadapbiang Lyngdoh (Gold in Lead Climbing), Pynkmenlang Lyngdoh (6th), and Ibadarisuk Kynjai Sohshang (12th)
Sub Junior Boys :-
Bhabok Nongkhlaw (Bronze in Bouldering), Givensamson Lyngdoh (5th), and Mebandonlang Umsong (9th)
Junior Boys:-
Leadingstar Kharbudon (4th), Kyrmenskhem Lyngdoh (11th), Teibanbha Rani (14th), and Shaiphar Nongkhlaw (Disqualified due to technical fault)
All the winners will have to prepare to participate in the forthcoming 27th National Sport Climbing Championship to be held at Bengaluru from December 21-24, 2023.
