SHILLONG: Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma, who is in the habit of arriving late at any public function, managed to do the same on Friday.

The programme of 53rd annual SAARC integration Camp 2013 was scheduled to start at 1:30 pm but the Chief Minister turned up only at 3:50 pm, almost two and half hours late from the scheduled start of the function. The Chief Minister was late as he was addressing a function to distribute PC Tablets to school students at Tura and after the function, Mukul Sangma reached Shillong in the chopper.

Participants of the camp were scheduled to have lunch with the Chief Minister but the delay on the part of the CM forced students to finally take their lunch after 3 pm.

However, Chief Minister was apologetic for the late arrival to function and he said that he was not sure even if he could make it to the function.

At the end, the programme went as scheduled and Chief Minister had a long and meaningful interaction with the visiting students.
