President Pranab Mukherjee will begin his two-day State tour by landing at the ALG opposite Eastern Air Command on Monday at 2.25 pm. He will be presented a Guard of Honour there.

Later, he will address the legislators at the Legislative Assembly at Rilbong at 4 pm. The MLAs will assemble for a group photo with the President. The House will assemble at 3.50 pm.

After the 25-minute function, Mukherjee will visit the Brookside Bungalow at the same complex where Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore had stayed during his visit to Shillong in 1919. The President will garland the life size statue of Tagore.

After the Assembly programme, he would move to Raj Bhavan where he will have his dinner at 8 pm and subsequently will visit the Don Bosco Centre for Indigenous Cultures at Mawlai at 9.25 pm from where he will return at 9.50 pm.

Prior to this, the Grand Council of Chiefs will meet Mukherjee at Raj Bhavan at 5 pm.

The next day, the President would arrive at NEHU at 10.30 am to inaugurate the Innovation Club, which highlights new findings in the field of traditional medicines.

After this, the President would attend the 21st convocation of NEHU before leaving for Guwahati at around 1 pm.
