SHILLONG: The Inter School Block Level Tournament, which was held at Shella Bholaganj Block (Khlieh Shnong Sohra) and organised by the office of the District Sports Officer, East Khasi Hills, from October 21-23 saw participation in five events – handball, kho-kho, badminton, kabaddi and volleyball.

The results are:

Handball: In the boys section the team title was won by the school of St John Boys HSS and the runners-up claimed by Ram Krishna Mission HSS (Sohra).

In the girls section the team champions were Ramkrishna Mission HSS (Sohra) and the runners-up were St Ursula Border Area SS.

Volleyball: In the boys section the team champions were Ramkrishna Mission HSS (Majai) and St John Boys HSS (Sohra) claimed the runners-up position.

Kho-kho: Ram Krishna Mission HSS (Sohra) emerged as the team champions, while the runners-up title went to St Ursula Border Area HSS (Mawlong).

Among the girls, the team champions were St Ursula Border Area HSS (Mawlong) and the runners-up Ram Krishna Mission HSS (Sohra).

Kabaddi: In the boys section, the team from Ram Krishna Mission HSS (Bholaganj) won the title and St John Bosco Boys HSS came second.

In the girls section, the team champions were St Ursula Border Area HSS (Mawlong) and the runners -up were Nangkiew Shaphrang School.

Badminton: Ramkrishna Mission HSS came first in the boys section and Nangkiew Shaphrang HSS finished as runners-up.

The girls champions were St Ursula Border HSS, while Ram Krishna Mission HSS (Sohra) came second.
