Mawkhar Dorbar registers protest against petrol bomb attack on vendor

SHILLONG: Coming out in strong protest against the hurling of a petrol bomb on a roadside vendor at Mawkhar on Wednesday, the Mawkhar Dorbar Shnong has demanded stern action by the law enforcing agencies against the miscreants so that such incidents do not recur in future.
In a statement issued here on Friday, Mawkhar Rangbah Shnong, WHD Syngkon, informed that the Dorbar in an emergent meeting unanimously resolved to express its strong resentment over the incident.
He said that such cowardly act has not only caused panic and instilled fear in the mind of the local residents of Mawkhar and among the pedestrians, but has also shaken the confidence of the people due to the frequent occurrence of such incidents in and around Mawkhar.
It may be mentioned that unidentified miscreants had on Wednesday hurled a petrol bomb on a vendor identified as Raj Kumar Rai of Garikhana but he had a lucky escape.
