MeECL staff threatened at gun point

JOWAI: A junior engineer of Meghalaya Energy Corporation Limited (MeECL) was threatened by two unidentified masked men at gun point on Saturday night.

Police sources on Sunday informed that the engineer identified as R. Nanghulo was doing night duty at the control room of MeECL Office at Moowakhu, Khliehriat when two masked men suddenly appeared and pointed a gun on his forehead. They also threatened to shoot him.

Sources said the duo enquired about his senior official who is looking after the MeECL office at Moowakhu in Khliehriat.
