The Chief Minister emphasized the government’s dedication to investing in sports, with a primary focus on enhancing infrastructure, athlete training, and empowering all stakeholders involved.
During the announcement, the Chief Minister articulated, “Our commitment is to provide the youth with the means to pursue their passion, voice their opinions, and emerge as leaders for the future generations of Meghalaya.
As we conclude this chapter and eagerly anticipate the Meghalaya Games in 2025 to unfold in Jowai, we aim to cultivate and expand our sports culture across districts.
Our goal is to inspire dreams and contribute to a healthier, more vibrant Meghalaya.”
Highlighting the significance of organizing such events, the Chief Minister noted that the Meghalaya Games provided valuable insights into the logistical requirements for hosting world-class sports competitions.
