Glennys scores 4 as Nongrim Hills whip Mawkhar

Shillong, Feb 5: Glennys Lynrah scored four goals as Nongrim Hills SC smashed Mawkhar SC 7-2 in the Shillong Sports Association’s First Division 2023 at First Ground, Polo, on Monday.
This was the highest-scoring match in the First Division since July 2019 when Sawmer SC demolished Nongkrem SC 9-2.
Glennys scored all four of his goals in the first half – in the 8th, 12th, 40th and 44th minutes – and there was another by Daman Kyrpang Tariang (19′) to make it 5-0 at the break. Further goals by Alem Khongwir (76′) and Justerwell Tham (80′) added to Mawkhar’s misery, but they were able to find a couple of consolation strikes via Banteiskhem Iawphniaw (85′, 88′).
Nongrim continue to lead the points table with a full 12 from four games.
