Ri-Bhoi cops arrest two drug peddlers

Nongpoh, Feb 8: Two drug peddlers were apprehended and 21.05 grams of heroin, eight vials, and one syringe were recovered from their possession by Ri-Bhoi police in Nongpoh on Thursday.
Acting on credible information and reliable sources, the district police conducted a thorough search of the suspects inside a night-super bus which led to the apprehension of the duo identified as Sumit Naha, 21, and Rahul Ghosh, 25, both from Dibrugarh, Assam.
The arrested persons were taken into custody, and the seized items, including two mobile phones, have been secured as evidence.
A case has been registered at Nongpoh Police Station, and an investigation is on.
