Govt opens tender for bio-mining

SHILLONG, Feb 8: The state government has invited proposals for the ‘bio-mining of legacy waste located at the dumpsite in Marten, Shillong via a management contract through national competitive bidding.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) guidelines, ‘Biomining is the scientific process of excavation, treatment, segregation and gainful utilisation of aged municipal solid waste lying in dumpsites typically referred to as legacy waste.’
Interested parties can submit their proposals/bids in sealed envelopes on or before February 9.
