Matrisang defeat Raitsamtiah

Shillong, Feb 17: In a thrilling encounter in the Shillong Cricket League 1st Division, Matrisangha squared off against Raitsamtiah in a highly anticipated match. Raitsamtiah won the toss and elected to field first, hoping to gain an early advantage on the field.
Batting first, Matrisangha put up a competitive total of 223 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in 39.5 overs. Mintu Medhi led the charge with an impressive knock of 75 runs off 87 balls, supported by Kishore Bhowmik who contributed 45 runs off 50 balls. On the bowling front, Grish Raj Ray and Shembhalang Pyngrope of Raitsamtiah shone brightly, with both bowlers claiming 3 wickets each. Ray bowled 8 overs, conceding 25 runs, while Pyngrope gave away 29 runs in his 8 overs.In response, Raitsamtiah fought hard but fell short of the target.
