NONGSTOIN: The Assam police recently arrested secretary of the Lampi (Langpih) Development Committee (LDC) Domare Bahadur Chettri from Mawdiangsnam, Langpih for his alleged involvement in the kidnapping of the Branch Manager of Allahabad Bank at Boko, Assam.Chettri is also the accused in the assault of two Khasi women at Umwali, Langpih earlier in the year. While informing that the West Khasi Hills police would seek Chettri’s handover, SP Sylvester Nongtynger on Monday informed that the Assam police are still on the hunt for other accused in the kidnapping of the bank manager.
