Ampareen’s affidavit mentions framing of charges against her

SHILLONG, March 22: Charges have been framed against NPP candidate Ampareen Lyngdoh in the Special CBI case number 2 of 2020, in the Court of Special Judge (CBI) Shillong.
This was revealed in the affidavit filed by the NPP candidate here on Friday along with her nomination papers.
The affidavit states that the case pending against here was the Laitumkhrah police station case number 62(7) of 2011 which was subsequently taken over by the CBI vide direction of the High Court of Meghalaya and CBI registered the FIR vide case number RC 0202018A0001 dated January 3, 2018.
The sections involved are 120 B/420/467/468/471/201 IPC, Section 13 (2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
The offences include allegations of criminal conspiracy, cheating, forgery, disappearance of evidence, giving false information and criminal misconduct. The affidavit also states that the charges were framed on August 24, 2022. An appeal for revision has also been filed against the proceedings.
Meanwhile, the affidavit also states that the total value of her moveable assets is Rs 30,06,159 while the total value of her spouse’s moveable assets is Rs 26,97,016.
Lyngdoh also owns three non agricultural lands including her inherited property and the current market value of these lands is Rs 1.1 crore.
