TURA, April 27: Concerned authorities have been urged to put on hold the ongoing construction of the Agia-Medhipara-Phulbari-Tura (AMPT) road by the Anti-Corruption Foundation of India, an organisation based in the plain belt of West Garo Hills, which has claimed that there is a violation of the estimate.
The organisation has demanded the stoppage of work on the said road alleging that the original government estimate has been violated by the contractor in the ongoing construction. Earlier, the organisation had taken up the matter with the concerned authorities as well as the contractor. However, with work still being continued despite the complaint, it decided to raise the matter once again.
