Dr PT Usha, MP & President, Indian Olympic Association met with State Olympic Associations officials in Olympic Bhavan, New Delhi, on Monday. A total of 20 state sports associations were represented at the meeting called by IOA President.
Working President of Meghalaya State Olympic Association (MSOA) John F Kharshiing and General Secretary MSOA Finely L Pariat alsoattended the meeting, wherein closer working relationship between the IOA & State Olympic Associations (SOA) was discussed. Usha stated that there has to be a very close working
relationship right from the district, state and national level. SOA members
presented a memo to IOA President and discussed restoration of voting rights
for the SOAs, annual grant in aid, ensuring success of upcoming
National Games in Uttrakhand, Chattisgarh and Meghalaya.
