Heatwave in EGH: DC issues advisory

WILLIAMNAGAR, May 1: In view of the unusual rise in temperature in the district, East Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner-cum-Chairman of District Disaster Management Authority has issued an advisory to tackle heatwave.
The advisory asked the people to avoid going out between 12 noon and 3 pm, to wear lightweight, light coloured, loose and porous cotton clothes, not to leave the children or pets inside parked vehicles, to avoid alcohol, tea, coffee, etc.
