TURA, May 1: Rongrong GHADC MDC, Rinaldo K Sangma has sought action against a contractor charged with constructing a particular road in Resubelpara for allegedly doing shoddy work.
The MDC, on the same day paid a visit to the after complaints were received from the residents of Beru Bari and Sarongkol, where it was found that the construction was being done in a very poor manner.
According to the MDC, the contractor in this case, is a close aide of the local MLA and many of the PWD projects undertaken by him have been done in a sub standard manner while some have been deserted.
“I have instructed the Deputy Commissioner to direct the contractor to rectify the works. I will also be writing to the Public Accounts Committee to look into the matter at the earliest,” Rinaldo said.
