Kunal’s bail plea rejected, remanded to JC till Dec 13

Barasat(WB): A Bidhanagar court on Friday rejected the bail plea of suspended suspended Trinamool Congress MP Kunal Ghosh in a case of the Saradha scam and remanded him to 14-days judicial custody.

ACJM Apurba Kumar Ghosh remanded Ghosh in judicial custody till December 13 after rejecting his bail petition.

Ghosh was arrested on November 23 by the Bidhannagar Police on a complaint of alleged non-payment of salaries filed by the general manager of a company Broadcast Worldwide, a Saradha Group media outlet.

Ghosh, the CEO of Saradha Group’s media arm, was charged under sections 420 (cheating), 406 (criminal breach of trust) and 120B (conspiracy) of the IPC. (PTI)
