Conrad reviews progs at meet with Climate Change Council

SHILLONG, May 16: Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma chaired a crucial meeting of the Climate Change Council here on Wednesday, reviewing the government’s ongoing programmes with various departments.
The meeting focused on enhancing collaboration and coordination among government departments and stakeholders to collectively safeguard natural resources and mitigate the impacts of climate change.
The Council extensively discussed efforts by different departments to protect and rejuvenate water bodies, conserve catchment areas, and sustainably manage natural resources.
Urging departments to take concerted and collective action against climate change, the Chief Minister said, “Our commitment to environmental conservation requires a united front. By fostering collaboration and synergy among government departments and stakeholders, we can forge a sustainable path towards a greener and more resilient future for Meghalaya.”
