TURA, May 19: The Centre for Environment Protection and Rural Development (CEPARD) has decided to take a stand against incidents of cruelty to animals and has sought the help of the District Administration and the People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), for the same.
“CEPARD is committed to safeguarding the rights and well-being of all living beings, including livestock. In line with this mission, the organization has resolved to report acts of cruelty to the District Administration. By bringing these incidents to the attention of the authorities, CEPARD aims to seek justice for the mistreated animals and prevent such inhumane actions from recurring in the future,” its President Samgar R Sangma said.
“Furthermore, recognizing the significance of broader advocacy and support in combating animal cruelty, CEPARD has also reached out to People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). By collaborating with PETA, CEPARD hopes to leverage their expertise and resources to address this pressing issue on a larger scale and effect meaningful change in animal welfare practices,” Sangma added.
Meanwhile, the organization has urged all individuals and organizations to join them in their stance against cruelty to animals and to work together towards creating a more compassionate and respectful environment for all beings.
