Garo pressure groups support ILP

SHILLONG: Convinced by the overwhelming response of the people at the ILP rally on November 30, the leaders of Garo Hills based pressure groups, who were also present during the meeting, decided to vigorously support the cause.
The leaders of Garo Students Union (GSU), Federation of Khasi Jaiñtia and Garo People (FKJGP),  Achik Youth Welfare Organisation (AYWO), Association for Democracy and Empowerment (ADE) and  Federation for Achik Freedom (FAF) have vowed to fight for  implementation of ILP.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the president of FKJGP,  Pritom R Marak, said that the Garo Hills based pressure groups will extend assistance to the their  counterparts in Khasi-Jaintia Hills.
