Award for Meghalaya Transport department

SHILLONG: The State Transport department has been selected to receive an award on ‘Generation of Vehicle Number at the Dealer Point’ from the Computer Society of India, Bangalore.

This was informed by Transport Minister HDR Lyngdoh during the orientation programme on e-services for District Transport Officers, Motor Vehicle Inspectors and EIs of Transport Department held here in the city recently.

During the programme, the Minister lauded the online services for registration transfer of ownership of vehicle, issuance of NOC, addition/termination of hypothecation, renewal of registration, renewal of fitness of vehicles, besides others.

Lyngdoh has lauded the collaborative effort of the Transport department and the National Informatics Centre for making the State proud by successful implementation of online citizen centric services.
